click here. Have you ever thought about Journeying with Jesus as a Catholic? The "Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults" may help you begin your journey. What is it? Who is it for? What is the process? How long does it take? The second stage begins the formal process of preparation for the
Sacraments of Initiation. It includes a variety of experiences (such as prayer, rituals,
lessons, activities, etc.) which help individuals come to know Jesus and to become ready
to join the Church as active members. The process is personalized according to the needs and
the gifts of the individuals involved. This stage may last up to several years. The third stage usually takes place throughout the weeks
before Easter. It is a time of "purification and enlightenment" that includes
special rites and more intense preparation to receive the Sacraments of Initiation at
Easter. The fourth stage lasts for the fifty days of the Easter season. It is
a time for deepening the Christian experience, for spiritual growth, and

For information, please contact: Following the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965), the normative means of entering the Church was restored in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). It is the process through which those who have never been baptized or those who have been baptized in another Christian tradition may become Catholics. With the assistance of catechists, sponsors and the whole parish community, we help those who wish to be initiated into the Catholic Church, especially through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at Easter.
