The Saint James Youth Group is open to any high school student. The youth group participates in various activities such as hay rides, whitewater rafting, snow tubing, and ice skating. Members also perform several hours of community service. Some community service activities include an annual charity dance with youth groups from around the state, back to school back pack drive, Habitat for Humanity, soup kitchen, and Homefront day.

The youth group also attends retreats on a local, regional, and worldwide levels. Some include Stuebneville East Youth Gathering, New England Youth Gathering and World Youth Days. We hold fundraisers to help sponsor youth group members on their retreats to deepen their faith. The youth group is on "FIRE" about their faith. Prayer Path: A spiritual labrynth that was created by the teens to walk on to reflect on your faith. There are stations along the way that help in your reflection.

Holy Hour & Adoration: The youth group attending many holy hours and Adorations.

F.I.S.H. (Friend in spiritual Harmony): These are our peer ministers who are attend leadership training and minister to their peers.

World Youth Day 2002: The Youth joined with 1/2 million youths from around the world who share in their faith. They prayed, sang, attended workshops, and worshiped with teens from many countries. They saw, listened to and celebrated mass with Pope John Paul II. They are excited about the next one in Germany.

New England Youth Gathering: This gathering is held every two years and teens from all around the New England area come together for speakers, workshops, singing, dancing, games & activities.

Steubenille East Youth Conference: Is held each summer in Attleboro, Mass. and teens have the opportunity to meet and listen to various Christian singers, listen to powerful witness talks, play games, and celebrate mass.
